Our Frenchie Pudding as developed a strange, unacceptable behaviour issue. Most of the time, it is just me & my Husband at home, occasionally we have visitors. Now, when we take her anywhere for example, a garden centre, café or pub etc, she's always reluctant to leave and puts her breaks on. When we have visitors & their just sitting and chatting she's fine, she just snuggles up but, when they stand up, it's like she's panicking that their leaving and starts jumping up and nipping at their legs. We think she's just looking for attention off them? She's a beautiful little dog in every way but, this is not something we can have her doing to visitors. Funnily enough, when the Grandkids are visiting she doesn't do it to them. We would really appreciate any help & advice please as we are not sure of the best way to deal with it? Thank you

I would put her lead on and teach her to not jump... give a little correction/tug on the lead with a frim NO when she does jump or nipping. When she responses as you want, give her lots of praise and/or a high value treat

Thank you for your advice. We will start putting her on the lead when visitors stand up, sometimes they are just going from one room to another and she panics they are leaving. We have only had her a few months, she was used for breeding so maybe she is just loving having people around her but needs some guidance on behaviour.

She will also need at least three months to get acquainted with her new environment .. be patient with her and your self.. big transition for you all
