This Frenchie is so cute you could eat him for breakfast! Omelette--Omi for short--has made his way over to the available section. Omelette came to FBRN when he was surrendered by a couple that adopted him from a commercial breeding facility. Omelette also came in underweight, had skin issues, and a severe aversion to people.
Omelette is very submissive, but he can sometimes be mischievous by chewing a shoe or stealing a remote. He loves to play with his foster siblings and is a happy camper. He is still very hesitant around people and will need a forever family who are willing to be patient with him so he can gain their trust. Omelette will eventually be a cuddle bug, but not until after he has learned to trust you.
Omi has no medical or temperament issues apart from his aversion to people. He gets along with cats and loves dogs! Omelette needs to be in an adult only home with no children and at least one other dog. A person who isn’t a traveler would be best for him. He requires a fenced yard, because if he were ever to get off his leash he would be extremely hard to catch due to his aversion to people.
Omelette would be best with a stable routine. He doesn’t mind if you don’t work from home, and he can do well for 6-8 hours. He also wouldn’t mind if you had a stockpile of antlers, hooves, or stuffed animals for him to play with.
Omlette’s foster family had this to say about him: “Omi came to our family a skinny, frightened, and broken spirit. He would run away from us if we even looked at him. We were unable to hold him, or cuddle him for the longest time. But with MUCH patience, love, and TLC he has blossomed into a happy, playful, and well adjusted doggie. He loves his foster doggie brothers and sister. He plays with them all day. He will allow us to pick him up, hold him and love on him. His favorite thing to do now is to jump on the couch and snuggle with the family. He is a very happy puppy and wants to please. He has forgotten all the bad treatment he received from past humans and has learned to love and trust again. I want him to go to a family that he can love and trust for the rest of his life.”
