Poor baby. Looks like allergies to me. Radar gets massive bumps like that and very red eyes. He's about 30pounds and I give him a Benadryl a day and the bumps have gone away for the most part. Try that out. It should work.

Looks like an allergy issue to me too. Do you ever see him scratch?

Yes, hes scratching alot. Gave him benadryl the pinkness went doen but hes still scratching. Going to try a different brand of food now. Going to stop the wellness and try the Go puppy food. Fingers crossed

The bumps and red eyes makes it seem like environmental allergies.

We got Temaril-P allergy tablets from our vet for when our girl gets itchy. Works like a charm. She also gets those bumps, and red eyes, but it looks like your pup is taking allergies harder this time around than my girl does!

I agree with the allergies. Benedryl works good and if they get worse or don't go away, try the Temaril-P. If the hives get real bad, you can double the dose of the Benedryl.

Temaril P does help a lot. Apoquel is like a miracle, and no steroids. They can have Zyrtec once a day if the Benadryl isn't working.

Also, a good thing that works for my guys --- cool wash cloth wipe of face, paws and belly after yard play.... gets all the pollen and stuff off

Apoquel is safe for dogs over one year though, so not an option for poor little Kobe.

So sorry your Kobe is suffering from allergies so young. Jake has environmental allergies and used to get hives. We gave him allergy shots for over a year and although the hives went away, he still scratched and licked his feet. He is on Apoquel now and is doing better. I hope you find out what is causing him to suffer.

The vet has him on some medicine i think its Simplicef 100mg and Temaril-P. He's doing sooo much better and is not scratching as much.

Just wondering if you are still giving Jake the allergy shots? Jax is still on them and on the Apoquel. So I can't really say whether or not the shots are helping of if it's just the Apoquel. I do give him a bath every weekend in a medicated shampoo and an ACV/green tea rinse that I think helps a little.

Jax was on Temaril-P before he got allergy tested and now he gets shots and Apoquel. Temaril-P is good for short term relief but I wouldn't give it long term as it is a steroid.

Jake is no longer getting allergy shots. They only provided very minor improvement so we switched over to Apoquel which helps. The only problem is that it only lasts 18 hours and so one time during the day he scratches and licks his feet until the next dose kicks in. Both he and Stella had their blood tests yesterday to see if everything is good and it was! So far so good.

Yup, I used to give Jax the Apoquel in the mornings but then his paw licking would always wake us up so now I give it to him around 5/5:30 pm. I've been trying new shampoos and sprays that seem to help and occasional paw soaks.
