Hey guys! As some of you may know my little 8 week old Bruno will be coming home Tuesday and I'm so excited I literally can't wait. But any suggestion on what I should prepare myself before Bruno arrives? Thank you x

Take a nap! You will probably be missing out on some sleep over the next few weeks :D

Enjoy the time! They grow up so fast...

You should prepare a camera! I can't wait to see lots of picures. :)

I'm sure you have the basics like a crate, bedding, food, bowls, toys, leash and harness or collar. I would kind of have in mind what your schedule for him is going to be. Have stuff to clean up messes. Hmmm, I'm trying to help but that is all that I can come up with. I bet you are so excited!!

This is easier said than done, but the biggest thing you can bring to the game is a sense of calm. Seriously, just try your best to chillax. Bisou is going to be one next week and I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by. And, unfortunately, I spent most of that time freaking out over everything - to the point that I'm not sure I really had a chance to enjoy watching her grow. I worried she was going to overheat at the drop of a hat. I worried about what I was feeding her: was it the best, or should I be giving her something else instead? I worried about whether or not she had the right toys: did that string look like it was long enough to strangle her intestine if swallowed? Was she warm enough at night? Was she too cold at night? It was insane. I'd never had a dog before, so I let everything I'd read get into my head instead of just living in the moment. You're going to have some issues. Some might be serious; most will be minor. Food allergies and sensitivities are common. Reverse sneezing happens - a lot. Your dog will be fine. Enjoy that sweet smooshy face because that dog will grow so fast. Too fast. Again, easy to say. Harder to do. Enjoy, and take lots of photos!

Definitely need to keep a camera or phone handy at all times! They grow so fast and are little for such a short period. A good vet is important too. Someone you feel you can communicate with and trust. I think everyone has pretty much covered everything else. Try to establish some sort of schedule/routine which will help with housebreaking. Oh and get lots of Natures Miracle!

I definitely need to relax abit, I surely am stressing out over nothing lol It's gonna be a new good experience, very excited 😁 camera and natures miracle, done! 👌

Sooooo excited for you! It does go fast so take deep breaths and enjoy! Also, post pics of your new baby when you can. Know when things get tough, that "this too will pass"!!!

Will definitely keep everyone updated 😁

It's getting close! I'm excited for you! I bet you can't wait to pick up that baby.:)

Aww hehe can't wait, I'm gonna have a sleepless night thinking about him haha

My breeder also told us having the following on hand - just in case:

Benadryl 25mg for allergies; witch hazel to clean infections or itchy skin; povidone iodine, also for itchy skin, soaking itchy paws, and preventing secondary infections from scratching or cuts; hydrocortisone cream or calamine lotion for itchy skin and bug bites; and hydrogen peroxide in case they ever ingest anything they shouldn't and you have to make them throw up. You can get all of those things at the dollar store for less than $10.

In case you didn't pick up on the theme there - Frenchies can be itchy.

This is a GREAT list. We had one scary moment when Hudson got stung by a bee and started reacting and we realized we were out of Benadryl!

Thank you for your very handy list 😊👌
