Puppy hair loss

So it's been about a week since I took her to the vet. She is on meds for mites but I'm wondering if she is having an allergic reaction to her food. She is a little older than 6 months and is on Bil Jac puppy for food. Anyone have similar experiences?

When you say mites... does she have mange? also, Bil Jac really is not a good food, and you may want to think about changing foods... http://frenchbulldognews.com/content/31-top-recommended-dog-food-choices.html

I would try a food change and see how it goes, Bil Jac is not that good of a food. We use the frozen Bil Jac to add to the regular food if we have one we need to put some weight on, but I wouldn't feed just that to them. We feed our pups, FROMM Puppy Gold in the pink bag, and the do well on it.

If she has mites/mange then hair loss is pretty common. Mites occur on a weak immune system, so getting her on a better food will help her build up her immune system. She's so precious I must add!

I was not told she had mange by the vet. I can give them a call to double check. I suppose making a switch in food may help strengthen her immune system. Thanks everyone!
