Puppy regurgitates his water

Hi everyone,

I have a beautiful 6 month old puppy named Moses. In the last month he has started regurgitating his water. If he takes more than 3 or 4 licks of water he will just bring it back up within a minute. He keeps his food down though. I have tried elevating his bowl and placing things in it to slow him down but still no luck.

Has anyone else had this type of trouble? Will he grow out of it?

Every time Jax drinks too much too fast, it comes right up. He will be 2 in April.

3 or 4 licks of water should not be coming back up. I have seen some do that when they drank too much, as when they are playing, but in your case, I think I would call and talk to your vet to see what they say. They may want to examine your baby to make sure nothing is going on.

I agree with above, 3-4 licks isn't much water... Id definitely call the vet.

Hudson does this if he takes a big drink and then runs around and plays really hard right after, but I've never worried too much about it... But in your case I'd go to the vet.

I'd take him to a Veterinarian.

We did take him to the vet. They recommended some xrays to be sure he hasn't got anything sinister. I guess I better start saving!
