I am researching show leads/collars and am wondering if anyone with show experience has any suggestions? I do not have my puppy yet but am researching in advance!

Thank you!

dartnyss sorry it took so long to respond. I use the nylon braided slip collars and matching leash. I also usually get a 3 foot leash, it makes it easier to roll up and hold in my hand. Several of my friends who also show use the same type of collars and leashes. I like to get one that is close to my dogs color, so it ill not stand out. I want all the attention to be on the dog and not a flashy collar or leash. Here are a couple pics. one of a sample collar and one on Henri, so you can see the size I like.

Well, it took me much longer to respond to you, so I'm sorry about that! I didn't see the notification...anyway, thank you so much for your response! The more I look, the more I like the less flashy collars and leads. Thank you again!

We have just started showing and have only one show leash we got from the breeder as a gift. It has a bit of bling, but not too much. Our boy is brindle so this goes well with his colour. What I have heard is that in case you go for a chain type, it should not be so called "snake" chain, since it can get stuck in the fur and disturb the dog in the ring.
Planning to get another one, the nylon type as suggested by David above.
