Age will help.... but it is either mange if under a year or a staph infection.

What food are you using?

Yeah, I would go to vet for scraping.

Welcome to you and Odie! :)
As others have said, it sounds like a trip to the vet is in order.
Our first boy Simon used to get outbreaks on his skin where small patches would dry up.
It was from allergies.
We tried changing his food, but that didn't seem to help.
Our vet ended up putting him on Atopica.
It was amazing. He cleared up with no more issues.
Later he went on Apoquel. Just as effective.

Good luck to you and Odie.

If it's just allergies, I would switch Odie to frozen raw dog food, and if that didn't help due to it being environmental allergies, I would get vet to give Cytopoint, which is less immunosupressive compared to Atopica and Apoquel. Cytopoint is the newest treatment which probably wasn't available at that time.

But right now we still have to treat the skin lesions with either chlorhexidine shampoos and antibiotics for a staph infection, or Nexgard monthly for mange.

Bottom line, a trip to the vet is needed.
Let your vet see Odie, do the tests he deems are needed, diagnose him, and get Odie well.
