Quella has slept in her 2x4, 4x4 or crate since I got her at 9 weeks. Well, last night I decided to have a sleepover for Q-Roux and myself on the floor of the loft. I put down an old futon I use for camping, her potty pad, her crate, 2 beds and locked us in a 14x14 area so she couldn't wander around all night. Now Q is squirmy wormy and if you attempt to sit/lay on the floor with her, she becomes neurotic and eats your hair, bites your ears and face, etc. This time, she was super exhausted from 2 hours shopping at Petsmart, so when I laid down, she came and sniffed my face, then walked away to sniff the rest of the space. A few minutes later I felt her in my stomach area then she laid down. I quietly lifted my head to see her dozing off and I was in shock. A few hours later I felt her moving again and this time she was laying between my legs. And again this morning, she woke me while moving around, she laid in her dog bed for a few minutes then came back to bed and laid against my back. Now this all may see like 'normal dog behaviour' but when your dog is a maniac and can't even sit on the couch or you on the floor without her physically abusing you as well as the last time we hung out on the floor, she pee'd on my pillow, so I put her in her crate then 30 mins later, the moment I let her out, she pee'd on the other pillow. Either way, last night was progress. Unfortunately, now I need to decide whether I plan on letting her sleep in my bed forever or if I should keep her in her X-Pen or crate.

Where does your Frenchie(s) sleep? And if a puppy, where do you plan on them sleeping in the future?

XoXo from Quella La Roux and her mommy too!

Depending on how my husband and I feel, Bear either sleeps in his crate or in our bed.
He's fine either way, and in fact he often puts himself to bed in his crate by wandering in around 9 and laying down.
If we're all exhausted, we usually bring everyone in - Bear and the birds - and we all just crash.
The birds sleep on perches in the bedroom, and Bear sleeps on the bed.

All of ours sleep in their crates. The pups we put in an X-pin attached to a crate, so they sleep in the crate and will get up and go pee on the pee pad at the other end of the X=pin, then go back to their crate and go back to sleep.

Stella sleeps in her crate. I like her to have her own "bed" and I like to have my own...plus I don't trust her to behave all night free roaming! :)

Radar sleeps with me. He had a massive stomach issue that destroyed his crate and was traumatic for both puppy and mom and has been with me ever since. He isn't brave enough to jump off the bed so he's really well contained and hasn't had any accidents or problems. When playing he also enjoys the occassional nibble on my nose or hair, but he knows the difference between bed time and play time and I'm now used to his snoring in my ear.

When we first got Jax he slept in his bed in an Xpen in the kitchen. Once he was able to hold his pee through the night, I would have "sleep overs" on Friday night's and we would sleep in the living room on the couch together. After about 2 months of having him, I brought him into the bed with us and he's been there ever since (almost a year now). This past weekend we rented a lake house and I brought an air mattress with me so Jax could sleep with me as dogs were not allowed on the furniture.

Until about a month ago Maple slept in her crate in our beroom at night. Now she sleeps (like a big girl) on the couch or in her bed in the living room. We live in a Townhouse and our living room and kitchen is at the upper level and for some reasons Maple doesnt go down the stairs in our house.

Hudson slept in his crate with attached ex-pen until about a month ago (he's almost 9 months now). He then, in one fell swoop, transitioned to just crate (when I'm gone) and sleeping in the bed at night. He hasn't had an accident or anything in the night and you can tell he just loves the snuggle time. It makes me happy. We shall see what happens when my boyfriend returns from 6 weeks in South Africa to a dog sleeping in the bed!!

Such an adorable visual. Cheli sleeps right next to me all night... either curled up in my tummy area or along my feet.

That's Jax! He is either curled up in my tummy or squished between the legs.
