well my Olivia has already gotten spayed by now today. i pick her up at 2:30 this afternoon. i guess she will be wearing one of those donuts around her neck, the old days had the cones. this is my girl Chloe sporting one, you can see she isnt very happy, although she does look good in it, or is it that she makes it look good.IMG_0318.webp

Hope she recovers quickly. My Tallulah didn't have to wear a cone when she was spayed a few months back. She couldn't get herself in the position to reach the stiches so it was never a problem. She was very sleepy the first day home and then after that - boom! Back to her old self. Hope Olivia had the same experience.

well all went good, and no collar. my vet said the females rarely need them. she is still a little groggy. but she is home and happy. figure she will mostly sleep tonight.

I hope she has a speedy recovery, and as far as the cone, we have never put ours in a cone after a C-session, spay, or neuter, plus our vet has never suggested it either, so if I were you, I wouldn't use it or pay the vet to get it. Frenchies and English don't really try to get tot he stitches, and most of them couldn't if they wanted to.

they didnt offer, or suggest one. i just thought when i picked her up she would automatically have one on. also she has dissolving stitches, guess thats normal. you see its been about 6 years since my little Lucy was spayed so i cant remember.

Awww, I hope she has a speedy recovery!

My Penelope goes in for her spay this Fri. I'm nervous about it, but I have great confidence in the vet we're taking her to. It's a laser vet clinic, and we've taken our pugs to them numerous times for surgeries, and they've always recovered really well.

Like all pet owners, I just wish I could talk to her and explain that everything is going to be ok, that I WILL pick her up, that I love her, and that I'm sorry! Eep... :(

I hope she recovers quickly! I didn't use a cone when I had Wally neutered. He didn't need it.

Chloe does not look impressed. lol!

Chloe is a doll and has the best :stinkeye: I've seen on a Pug!

Hope all went well with Olivia and she is home and resting with you

Glad everything went well. No cones for any of ours when they had their procedures done.
