Check his linage to see how the health, and temperament of his sire and dam, and their sire and dam plus their siblings are. Then the best thing to do is put him in the show ring, and if he gets his championship, then he is worthy of being a stud. That will also give you a better chance of someone wanting to use him as a stud. He should not be just thrown in with any female and breed just to breed. Breeding should be taken serious, and you want to find a good match for him, to make the best pups possible to try and better the breed. Too many people out there don't do this and that is how we get unhealthy, or ugly Frenchies.
