our 2 year old fiona has been on a Fromm diet (salmon a la veg) for a while now. we're going to switch her food to Acana (lamb & apple) just to see if it helps with her constant scooting.

just wondering what people recommend to properly switch over to a different food? i know some people just transition directly while others introduce it slowly.

People have different opinions, but I would slowly transition over about a week. I would start with 25% new for a few days, then 50% for a few days, and so on until you have her on all new. Some people just switch and their dogs are fine, but some dogs are more sensitive.

With kibble to kibble I would follow the transitioning instructions on the bag.

I suggest a transition. It isn't worth upsetting her tummy.

Agree, slow transition. Only one I know of that it's not needed is within the Fromm four star line.

agreed! Not worth the upset belly and runny :poo:

Yes agree with slow transition! Upset tummies are not fun for the dog or the owner that has to clean up after it!
