We ordered a sample box of Embark from The Honest Kitchen and it seems like Rosie's tear stains are getting worst. She always had them slightly but lately they are showing signs of getting darker. Do you think this is what may be causing it? She gets bottled water and also trying desitin but not helping at all.

Honest Kitchen makes great, really good quality food. That said, they use quite a bit of carbohydrates and fruits/veg with a high sugar content. Sugar turns into yeast & thats likely what you see building up.

Some dogs are prone to yeast overgrowth, so a food that uses quite a large amount of ingredients that turn into sugar might not be the best diet for these type of dog.

Thanks MaplesMommy. I think i will go back to Orijen Regional

Aikos tear stains aren't getting better either. We're going to transition to raw and I'm so excited to see if it helps

Went to PetSmart today and weighed Rosie. Trying to lose some weight before surgery but after 2 weeks of feeding 1/2 cup a day she still weighs the same. Needing advice on what to do. Thanks
