hi,
I would appreciate if someone experienced in frenchies would take a look at the pup I am going to buy (payed the deposit already)
She looks gorgeous but there is one thing that really concerns me and its her quite large third eyelid. I looked at thousends of other puppy photos and it seems that only she has it quite bad :( Should I buy her despite of it? Wont it get worse with time?
thank a lot i advance:)

It doesn't look prolapsed...

I don't think it's a thing that gets worse with time, more so as it can prolapse and possibly require the corrective surgery.

That's a risk with many breeds...

If you don't think it hinders how you view her, go ahead. Just make sure to buy a harness, not a collar, and watch for inflammation and irritation of her eye, as that is what causes a cherry eye most of the time. :)

How old is the pup in the pic? Looks like a 5 or 6 weeks old? The thing about the eyes, and head in general, is it changes so much the first year. The eye could get better as the pup matures, but also could get worse. A cherry eye is no big problem as long as you have a good vet how specializes in Frenchies and has done several of these surgeries. Most of the time you can just tack them and they will stay. If that doesn't work then they will cut part uf it out. They just need to be careful and not cut out the tear duct as that will cause dry eye and you will have to put drops in their eyes everyday.
