Thought on this French Bulldog Puppy

Hello Everyone,

I am contemplating the purchase of this puppy and was told he is a Blue Brindle and wanted to get others thoughts on him. I was told he will be ready in 3 weeks.

Cute pup, but personally I would never buy a fad color (blue, merle, black and tan, ect.) I believe in the preservation of the breed and only support French Bulldog Club of America standard dogs. The breeders who breed these colors are breeding for money only and do not care about the health and welfare of their pups or the breed. Sorry to be blunt, but it's the truth.

I can speak from experience of ignorantly purchasing a blue pup 6 1/2 years ago. Stella was the 5th dog I had purchased from the same breeder, so I trusted her. I thought the color was pretty and wanted a female as a companion for my male. She has unfortunately had many health issues including allergies, hydrocephalus and IVDD with 2 spinal surgeries. Just from my own personal experience, I would never purchase a rare colored frenchie again.

You can also look to see if there is a local French Bulldog club in your area. You can usually meet a lot of people and breeders and sometimes they’ll have a breeder referral list of reputable breeders. Dog shows are another good place to meet breeders and make connections.

Beautiful puppy. I have 2 blues that are perfectly healthy we feed them the highest quality food we can get. If you like the pup then get him. We love both of ours like they are children.
