So...
As I put in my last thread, I switched Miss Ellie over to The Honest Kitchen. Aside from making her go the bathroom a bit more, she's like a different dog! She seems so happy and vibrant and her scratching/eating feet and swollen ears have cleared up. No infections, but her ears looked like they were on fire on her last food.

We're doing Honest Kitchen Love and Marvel w/ rice, egg, veggies (I know THK has them in there but she waits at the fridge in the morning for them and I'll give her a piece of carrot or some stringbeans), or depending on what I'm making, meat. I ended up splitting her daily portion into three - she seems to do better on three small meals instead of two normal ones. So we're good on that front. But I've been wondering if she should be getting a supplement or something too? I keep hearing about coconut and fish oil and Nuvet.

Great news!!! THK is an excellent food.... The supplements won't hurt that is for sure. The oils help with skin care and other health reasons

Some of THK recipes have coconut in them so I wouldn't think you would need to add coconut oil if that's the case. Fish oil would be good to add especially if she has skin issues. Go slow as it can give them the runs. Also if she is having problems with her ears you may want to feed a recipe that doesn't have white potatoes.
Since you changed to feeding her 3 times per day she may be going more frequently.
Glad she is happy and vibrant!

Awesome so happy it is working for her. :)
