Anyone have experience with Urethral Prolapse? My frenchie got diagnosed with it today will have minor surgery tomorrow. If it comes back they have will to cut the tip off.

I have no experience but I know someone who went through it with her bulldog a few times before he finally got neutered to take care of the problem. I think stress and anxiety always caused it in this instance.

Okay thank you! I’m getting a second opinion today if what kind of surgery we need or just medication.

The weird thing is my frenchie is neutered too!!!

UPDATE

This veterinary said the first surgery where they push it back in will most likely pop back out right away or in a couple months. They just recommended to cut it off so we don’t have to put him to sleep twice. He goes into surgery on Tuesday. Will keep you guys updated!

Leonard had successful surgery on Tuesday. Still bleeding a little which is normal, and a lot less blood than the first night we took him home. He doesn’t feel any pain and wants to play but we can’t really have him running and playing too much.

Great news! I hope the recovery is easy peasy!

Great news! Good luck keeping him calm.. that usually the hardest part.
