Anyone use this flea, tick, mosquito, lice etc. preventative? It's topical. My puppy is on sentinel once a month, but this also takes care of ticks -- which I worry about.

Never used it, we use Sentinel only.

We carried Vectra for a bit at the Veterinary hospital where I work. We got mixed reviews. There were a number of people who didn't think it was working good, but some people did like it. I would just try it and see how it works for you. We now carry Activyl . I haven't heard any complaints about ticks from anyone about it BUT we aren't seeing hardly any ticks this time of year anyway, so I don't know. Here we see a lot of ticks in Spring and early Summer, then they tend to taper off for some reason.

This is what we use.... Sentinel and Vectra 3D --- have for many years without incident or ever having a flea/tick be on them. Right or wrong, I am not sure, but i never use the whole tube in one dose -- I use half of it. We live in a wooded area so we need to use something as there are deer, raccoon, groundhogs, etc all over the yard at night so we really can not take the chance of anything getting to our babies.

Yep, both of mine are on Sentinel once a month too!

Jax is about to start Sentinel this month but should I still do the Frontline Plus as well for ticks? We are in the Pacific NW so there are trees and woods everywhere.

I'd ask the vet. I'm in Utah and have deer in my yard along with mice, feral cats, cows, horses and have never seen a flea or tick.
