When I come home and let Frankie out of his kennel he is always panting very rapidly and sometimes has hard time breathing and he falls over with no ability to stand for a few seconds. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks

That sounds extremely concerning!! Is he getting over heated? Does he have enough ventilation?
If you don't think those are issues, then if get him to the vet. Sounds scary.

I feel like it's a matter of being sooo riled up about be crated(he hates it) he gags a couple times. Seems like he is not getting his breathe easily. After a few seconds he seems just fine. Thanks for replying!

My first thought would be overheating as well. Maybe it's anxiety?

It sounds like overheating but could be anxiety. There are great tips on this forum to help you get your pups with crate training.

How long is he crated for? What type of crate is it... travel or wire?

Could you possibly keep him to one area another way? I let my frenchie have free range of my bedroom. He can sleep on my bed, or his huge bed on the floor. I leave a few large toys out. He is usually passed out on either bed when I get home. I put on a little classical music for him. He has a ball when I am gone.
