Luckily time is flying and I collect my Frenchie on Friday, not long to go!!

I live in Spain so in the summer it's very warm here. I understand they don't do too well in the heat so to walk her early in the morn then very late at night, keep her cool with fan/air con, etc. Just wondering at what temperatures do you notice your Frenchie getting affected by the heat??

Thanks!

For Cheli, since he is dark brindle... anything over 70 degrees on a sunny day will get him panting in a few minutes.

I've noticed with Jax, who is a fawn, that it can be in the 60's or 70's but if the sun is out in full force, he will start to pant after walking for a bit.

Nellie is all black and so I never walk her in the middle of the day. I tried once and she almost passed out. So early mornings and evenings. But during the day when am home we hang out in the back yard from 30 mins- and hour. I keep her hydrated with lots of water and have a spray bottle that I spray on her when it looks like she's getting hot. She loves to sunbathe and because she's a puppy sometimes she doesn't realize she will over heat. So you have to keep an eye out on her. I will bring in the shade after 10 mins of sun.

Hanging out for any period of time when it was 80's or above had Stella panting and snorting. We tried to limit her time to potty breaks only when it was hot out.

I'd say around 20C or so when my pups start to pant. I think that's about 70F. Our morning walks are longer than the evening as we go out quite early. After work it's a quick jaunt around the block and then back in the house.

I agree with everyone, and it all depends on the humidity, the amount of sun out and is there any breeze blowing. It all play into how hot they will get and how quickly.
