Hello Everyone,

I have a question about weight

I have Frenchie that was born on June 3rd, 2016

The issue is that she weighs about 10LBs today.

We feed her 3/4 cup a day (our vet told us this). She eats a lot, has energy, and is very loveable.

Am I feeding right amount, why is she so small?

I can try to find good photos to upload.

While she's standing, look at her body from above.

You should see her hips but not her hip bone pointing under the skin.

You should faintly see her ribcage under the skin but not each rib well defined.

If bones are too visible and contrasted, and provided her stools are looking good, just increase her food by 10% each week until she gets a bit more fat under her skin.

I agree, I would increase her food. I like feeding pups well, as they are growing and developing. I usually gauge the food off their poop. If it's hard, increase the food until it is like soft serve, then back it down just a bit to get a normal poop, and slowly increase as they grow. Once they get about 7 to 8 months switch to adult food, and when they are close to a year, you will need to decrease their food intake so they will not get too chubby.

Weighed today, she is 9.2 pounds, she is 6 months.....

she eats a cup a day.
