Hey guys, im a bit distraught here. A couple of weeks ago i noticed my girl who is 3.5 years old seemingly become what i thought at the time as just ill behaved. Like she wouldn't listen at all and would just run off outside like she never used to do. So i didnt think anything of it initially. A few days ago i came home from work and usually shell hear me and jump off the couch and run to the door right away. I hadn't realize that she hadn't done that in a few days. I yelled her name knocked on the door but she didnt even lift her head up. It wasnt until she saw me that she got excited and jumped like she normally does. Thats when it hit me that she might have a hearing problem. She has had a couple of ear infections in the past but nothing crazy...pretty usual stuff for a french bulldog. I took her to the vet today and they said her ears look completely normal as far as any infections or anything but that doesnt rule out the hearing problems. She still hears squeaky toys and louder noises but not regular stuff like she used to. I dont know what to do at this point...shes still so young...is her hearing going out? Could it be a temporary thing? What can i do to prevent it from happening? Why did it happen so suddenly? I have so many questions. :(
Any info or advice would be appreciated!

I would probably take her to a specialist to have her heating checked.

the doctor said there is really only one kind of hearing test they can do where they put her to sleep and puff air against her ear drum and watch for vibration or something but it doesnt tell the condition of the inner ear drum.

and if that was the case there was nothing we can do at that point...im just at a loss she was fine her last ear infection was like a year ago and now all of a sudden this happens...shes only 3.5 :(

So much can happen without warning for our babies... she will be fine it will be an adjustment but dogs are very resilient
