Hi, I already posted this before but the server crashed and my post and membership was deleted before I got to read any of the replies.
As what the title says, I would love to have more clarification regarding my Frenchie's color. I got him from my brother and he said Igor is classified as Red w/ black mask. But he also said our Igor can also pass as a red sable.
We are on the process of registering our pup to our local canine club and there has been recent changes in their policy regarding colors. They will start giving limited registration to dogs outside of their standard colors and will tag them as not fit to breed.
I have looked everywhere but I can't find concrete information regarding reds and sables whether if they are fad or not, or if they are classified as a shade of fawn.
But in anyways, we love our Igor regardless. This is just something that came to my mind that I couldn't find any concrete answer.
Additional info:
Sire is registered as sable and dam is registered as white.
Our local canine club follows AKC and FCI breed standards.
