So about 3 weeks ago we brought home our newest family member, Obie. The second day we had him we noticed a bit of aggression with my uncles pitbull, ears back, teeth showing, snapping, I let it go because I figured it was because he was so new. As days past I noticed every few days when someone or one of our families pets play with him he's fine then he gets angry quick it's definitely not playing and when you stop him he growls and tries to attack me. My daughter is only one and we are very gentle with him and don't Play rough with him at all. The other pets are older and are also not rough with him but Obie wants to play rough and he also humps everybody and the other pets. He's 9 weeks old. I'm not sure if it's because we got him at such a young age (6weeks) I'm the only person he hasn't tried to hump I believe it's because I take care of him the most.

I'm just not sure what to do. I can't have him act this way. I'm an at home daycare provider and can't have him bite one of the babies.

I've tried timeout, flick the nose, rolled him on his back, growled at him, spanked his bottom (not hard)

I'm just running out of options!!

Please help!

Getting a pup at 6 weeks is way too early and shame on the unethical breeder for allowing that. They need to stay with mama and their siblings to get socialized and learn how to behave. I like them to stay at least until they are 12 weeks, which is better for them. You have a hard row to hoe now, but with proper training, and patience, you can get there. When he gets aggressive, tell him NO, and redirect to a toy, or if that doesn't help, then it's time for a nap. They need plenty of rest now anyway. He will soon learn that behavior is not tolerated.

Our puppy is 10 weeks we got him only a week and he loves to rough house. He growls when he plays. You just need to correct him. He is a puppy he doesn't know better. He is used to biting and rough housing with his sibling. Just pay close attention to him and correct him everytime he steps out of line

He sounds like a typical puppy to me. I would suggest some basic obedience training. It's never to early to start to teach them some house manners and look into the philosophy of Nothing in Life is Free. An xpen may be helpful to give him a time out when he gets a little rough or when you can't fully supervise him around the babies.

I agree with david, your baby was taken from his siblings way too early and has not been taught manners on how to interact with other dogs start using 'nothing in life is free' ... all humans in house should use it and correct the behavior as you are. He will also need to get into some basic training classes to help with the socialization.

good luck and keep us posted
