Ellie is in the weirdest mood - she seems (health-wise) fine but a little bit cranky, and she decided to take me in circles on the yard . She's eating and going to the bathroom normally, but she just seems very wired. She's not eating anything different aside from a slightly different variation of THK. The only thing I have noticed is her back end smells a little bit like her glands are acting up again, and her, well, private area looks a little red. Could it be hormones or something or am I worrying too much?

I really can't believe what a help everyone here has been with my way too many questions. If it weren't for this site I'd been running to my vet every five minutes!

If she is not spayed, she is about to go into heat. If so, do not let her ot of your sight for a second. Males have been known to jump fences. If she is spayed, I would take her to the vet, as she has something going on, maybe an infection.

I agree with davidh. Sounds like she' going into heat or could be a problem with her anal glands. If she is spayed I would have a vet check her out.

Great advice hope Ella feels better soon, they have a way of keeping us off guard and worrying - your doing a great job

I think we may have found the problem...Allergies! My poor baby! I feel so bad. She's got red patches w/ dry skin underneath and little bumps everywhere. She was so itchy she couldn't sleep.

I think it must be food (and seasonal) related, but I gave her a bath with the Allergy/Sensitive Skin shampoo from Tropiclean, and then brushed her and she seemed so at peace after that she went to sleep for the rest of the night. I'm going to keep one of her long shirts on so she can't work on herself when I'm not looking, lol.

I did notice she spit up her Honest Kitchen once or twice it the last few days - I think the chicken one is bugging her. I know chicken is horrible for allergies, so we may try something else.

Ugh... Good luck! Maybe try a Benedyl.... 1mg per pound

I'm glad you found out that it was only allergies. Definitely try another food other than chicken. I hope it helps!
