Hi Everyone ! Charlie is 4 months old now and I was looking through his pictures and comparing them to when chunks was that age. It seems chunks had more of a frenchie look for him. As in he was very wrinkly and had a full smushed in mouth. Charlie seems to be a little leaner, lankier, and doesn't seem to have a full smushed in wrinkly face....yet? Did any of your frenchies go through a phase where they just looked a little awkward ? Any thoughts on whether charlie's fave will start filling out ? Everyone had said that teething affects him, even his looks right now. Is this true ? Thanks for all the support and advice ! Here are some pics of Charlie !

Is he half Boston terrier or full Blooded Frenchie?

From what I have heard some go through some weird stages. He's definately a cutie!

He is a cutie for sure! I think they all go through an awkward stage!

the breeder says he is full frenchie....I hope we didn't get tricked or anything!

The older our Reese gets the more smushed/wrinkled her face gets and she was pretty petite until recently. It's probably just a stage he's going through.

Our girl is more lean tall and skinny with a slimmer face.

2 Frenchie comparison... I actually prefer her longer snout. She has 0 breathing issues. Our boy is a mess. Haha.

I think as they age, they do fill out a bit more... But they all look so different even though they are the same breed!

I do prefer the 'more athletic' Frenchies as well.
However his ears seem quite pointy (especially in the third picture) which could mean he has Boston Terrier somewhere in his line. Did you see the parents?

But usually a longer back and more nose means less health/breathing problems.

I agree, ears are pretty pointy...

He looks a little like a BT especially in the last picture because of the ears and face. Regardless, he's still so cute---kind regards!

He does look like he has some Boston in him. He is gorgeous!! Beautiful eyes.

So i asked the breeder and she says he is absolutely all french bulldog. No bt in him at all. As for the ears, they do look quite pointy in the pictures. But Charlie has been having some issues with his ears staying where they should lol. I've posted about his ears. They are constantly turned outwards and always kind of pin back so maybe that's why they look pointy in the pics! If I use my hands to push his ears forward a bit they are a lot more rounded....but then they just go back to being pinned back...posters have said it is because he is young and teething and using up calcium ! I don't think i need to tape them or anything do I? Let me know guys!

Here's a pic of his mom and dad.

What do you guys think ?

His dad's ears look just like his. They are turned out and sorta laying back-they look a little pointy as well. Could just be hereditary.

He's very cute! Maybe he'll start to fill out a bit, but I really wouldn't worry. Dexter has longer legs and is lean in comparison to the others we see at the meet up. But his face just started to change recently and he's almost one. He's got quite a big nose rope now. Plenty of time for him to grow into himself :)

I agree. His ears do look like his father's ears. Don't bother taping them, they'll stand up properly on their own once he's grown up a bit. I think it looks adorable on him.

Hi, first of all your puppy is super cute :)!

Louie, my boy has the exact same constitution. At least his face seems to be exactly like your pups and he is quite athletic as well. I also wondered alot about his genes. However he seems to move and breathe alot better than out other bullie, which is a huge plus.

I always blamed this on his eating habits, as he is quite a picky eater. But the more i analyze other puppies, he does seem to differ a bit in constitution as does yours.

He is quite heavy though, wheighing 20.9pounds at 5 months old, but is is quite tall and has longer legs than most bullies.

After four months of age he started to become wider and build more muscle mass so I am curious how this will work out. I'm curious what will happen to Charlie.

omg he is so handsome !!! Charlie has started filling out a bit. High hopes that he'll get more bulldoggy. Yes as Charlie is getting older he is bulking up some in the chest area but his legs and arms are still pretty lean...I guess the upcoming months will tell us !!! Thanks for sharing !
