We had soooooooo much fun yesterday. I took about 60 pics and then spent the afternoon photo editing. Enjoy!

Is he old enough at 12 weeks to go to the beach? Curious about Bear.

Yes. He has had 3 parvo shots and 2 of his DHP shots. He needs one more, but I was careful to be sure he was not near to many dogs. He was held by all the people there most of the time. He was not all that interested in playing with the other dogs. He was oggled over most of the time. LOL I don't stress about him getting sick. The vaccines don't prevent the dogs from getting the diseases anyway. They help fight the diseases and the vaccines help the immune system fight them if they contract the disease. I have read a lot on the vaccines, we over vaccinate anyway. There are studies proving after getting the initial puppy shots the dogs are covered for life and don't need anymore anyway.

I like getting him out and socialized at a young age.

I'm so nervous about taking my puppy out before his vaccinations, but he won't be finished until 16 weeks! I am getting such mixed opinions on the 'net. Seems unfair to keep him cooped up & not bring him out to play -- but it's not worth him getting sick.

You have plenty of time to get him out. Don't worry. Everyone is different. I try not to allow my fears to inhibit my life or my baby's. But everyone is different. Do what you are comfortale with. Things happen to us all the time. With all my over protective nature with Ollie he still ended up in the hospital with a broken leg after jumping down stairs. I had gates up and everything but our teenage son left it down one time. Accidents happen. I want my babies to enjoy life and I want them socialized so I like getting them out. But I don't blame you for being over protective. I was that way too with Ollie.

My vet was very encouraging of getting the puppy out to expose her to people and noises so that she wasn't a scaredy cat later on in life. She said that if you don't have a ton of stray dogs that run loose, your neighborhood is probably pretty safe for walking. I realize that's just another opinion thrown into the mix, but I'm like Julie - I want my gal to enjoy life and be socialized. I'm certainly not, so she should be!

Loved all the pics, and looks like a fun time.
