Hi - my 7-month old Frenchie loves children...a bit too much! My friend came round with her 3-year old boy the other day, and it is as if my usually quiet and calm dog had been swapped by some sort of possessed mad dog! All she wanted to do was play, but even though I normally have good control over her, she seemed oblivious to my commands and was totally focused on the little boy.
The little boy was very good and wasn't doing anything to excite her - do you have any advice on how to get my little Frenchie to behave with children??

Put her on a leash so you have control of her. Frenchies love to play, and kids are pretty much on their level so Bouba's reaction was normal. Have the child sit in a chair and not pet her until she calms down and sits herself.

Good advice above. It takes time, patience. and consistency.

great advice!

Thanks. I'll follow your advice. We have our 2 1/2 year old niece coming over next weekend, so ideal opportunity to practice!
