My frenchie has been on a round of antibiotics for a uti and I have notice her itching more and her bum is red and she has a little rash on her leg, Looks like a yeast infection and so I'm thinking I'd like to start her on some probiotics to help with future problems! What brand do you recommend?

Some natural probiotics would come from green tripe, sauerkraut (in the fridge section, not canned), kefir, goat's milk to name a few. There are also dog specific probiotics. I use Bene-bac which is a powder I just add to their food. Jax never did well on kefir as it would make him throw up and I recently just bought some raw goat's milk but Jax won't try it. I also found a fermented fish stock that both my guys love.

Great! Thank you!! We've only had Lucy for about a month so I'm definitely still learning ropes, here lol!! Thanks for you help!!

Totally agree with this advice!!
Cbrugs Have you tried freezing the goat's milk? Gus will drink it, but also loves it frozen. I freeze it in cute little silicone molds and give it as a treat. Especially, after a walk when he's cooling down.

It came frozen but I thawed it out. Jax went to his bowl, sniffed it and walked away so Louie went ahead and finished it for him. I’ll have to try freezing little portions and see if that works.

I've personally used for my dogs: Nusentia's Probiotic Miracle, sauerkraut from refrigerator section of health food store, and water kefir.

Do you give the bene bac as a daily supplement or just when need? Not sure on the dosing, directions are unclear
