My puppy seems to be more interested in the hand that is moving the toy than the toy itself. I understand he is just a puppy but does anyone have any tips to stop them from biting hands?

Thanks:)

Pretty typical frenchie puppy behavior. The good news is it will pass. Try some chilled pupppy teething rings maybe. When Jake was a puppy I found a padded toy lion that slipped on your hand like a puppet. It was great.

It is that puppy biting stage they all go through. Both hands and feet are usual targets. You have to consistently say "no bite" and give them a chew toy instead. It also helps if you over react with a loud ouch and cry like you are hurt. The good thing is that he will out grow it.

Great idea !! I just went to Pet Smart and they don't have a toy like that... but I will continue to search for one around other pet stores!

We used Nylabone teething keys... I would put them in the freezer for a a little to get them cold and he would take to them quick

I used the same toy for Wally. He loved them so much I had to replace them 2 times. Good luck! The biting stage will stop. Hang in there.

We have the keys too! He loves them. My friend who has two frenchies told me it was a must buy. Thanks everyone for the advice. I appreciate it :)

Yep, normal behavior like the others have said, and they love the Nylabone keys, just keep telling him "no bite" and give him a toy to chew on, it will pass soon.

i know you have to be careful of what you give them to chew on, they can swallow most anything. i stick with the large rope toys because there not going to be swallowed.

How are the nylabone keys for a 10 month old frenchie? She has seemed to revert back to her nipping phase again after having had the cone of shame on for a few weeks. She is also a fairly powerful chewer so I'm not sure of the durability.
