He is about 11 months old now.

He is not attached to me like before.
He doesnt want to come in the house when we are outside.
He eats way less than before
He sleeps a bit more now.
He also for the first time rejected cheddar cheese when I gave him as treat. he used to do backflips for a little piece of cheese.
He seems more relaxed in a way.

Is this normal at this age?
To me it seems like he is in transition from puppyhood to adulthood.
Am I right on my assumption or is there a health issue I should be checking for?

I mean he eats when he needs to but has way less interest in treats.

Cheese/dairy products are bad for dogs. Some kind of chemical that their systems have trouble with. I forgot what it's called.

It could be some transition to adult but are you giving any type of medicine... Benedryl or Claritin, maybe?

It sounds like Bleu is growing up! He is apt to come in the house more readily when the weather is nasty; also outside is more interesting than inside. He isn't growing at the same rate he was as a youngster so he doesn't need the calories. Are you feeding puppy food still? If yes maybe transition to adult food. If he is maintaining weight and not losing weight, I'd just let it coast for a while. Maybe the summer heat has diminished his appetite. Buster refuses treats-like strawberry, apple that he loves usually but eventually eats them so his English brother doesn't get them. Buster isn't food driven, food isn't the most important thing to him. He does not eat when we are gone and have a sitter. He goes outside and just wants to play-that's how he'd rather spend his time. When he travels with us we have to hand feed him to get him to eat. He has us well trained!

Thanks guys.

Yes he is maintaining his weight and still steadily putting on some. I am not giving him any medication either.

Yep. normal. Henri went through a phase where he would not eat. Became very picky with his meals and when I took him on the road to a show, he would not eat at all. Now that he is a little older, he scarfs his food up. They go through many changes while they are growing up. Your sweet baby will get back to normal when he gets about three years of age.
