Do you all know what those are?!?!

While I never could bring myself to buy a “bully stick”–a severed, dehydrated bull’s penis, flavored to be a chew for dogs (it seems so barbaric). For those who do feed them, I thought you’d like to know that there are some issues with them that currently leave your animals at risk. Why not follow the links below to our Amazon pages and shop for some other treats?

Never in my life would I let my dog touch one. They've occasionally tested positive for staph.

We have never and will never give our babies those things, rawhides either.

I tried them once and they stunk so bad I thought I was going to vomit. Found out later what they were made of. And yeah when I trashed it in the bin, it was all slimey and gooey. Now I can't get it out of my thoughts that I was touching a slimey gooey bull pecker!!!! :barf: :faint:

I recently tried one in a PetBox order. I have a hard time finding toys my dog can chew on because he's a powerful chewer (or should I say destroyer). I gave him the Bully Stick and shoved it inside a toy acrylic bone so he'd be able to hold it and also it'd slow him down from eating it all. He had the 5 inches left exposed gone in about 5 minutes so I took it from him and vowed never again. He also experienced some digestive upset (in the form of gas, I call the sounds stomach missiles). Guess I better wash that acrylic bone treat holder huh? :-O
