Hello everyone,

So I just got back from a Thanksgiving trip from Michigan to Chicago (5ish hours) and my 4month old threw up both there and back. Is there something I can do so he does not feel sick in the car? Is it because he is a puppy? He was fine in the car at 8 weeks when i drove back 3 hours with him.

Here is a few photos from his trip

Jax is almost 3 and has been car sick since he was a puppy. I have his booster seat next to the window so he can look out the window and I make sure to have the windows down so he can get fresh air. I have yet to find a solution that completely helps. Jax gets sick every time he's in the car for more than 10 minutes.

Love the picture.... too adorable!

I have found that a Benedryl works for Cheli.... i know we can give Dramamine but i can not remember the dosage

Dramamine does work but I only give it to Jax on looong car rides cause it usually knocks him out.

Dexter will throw up unless he's in his crate in the boot.

We often have to take him 4 hours and it's the only way he won't be sick, so we just stick with it.

I have not had a dog get car sick before, but I would try not feeding 4-6 hours before the trip and letting him ride in the passenger's seat up front.

Jake gets car sick too if he is the car for very long. I tried a booster seat and he still vomited. He does best when he looks out the window with fresh air on his face.
