He searches them out and usually finds a few... Yesterday was a itty bitty baby. You will think it is a stone or piece of dirt that is how small it is

Does he eat them? We have a large one that comes up on our deck at night - I think maybe it is catching bugs in the lights? - and Gidget goes nuts. I'm afraid she will try to eat it.

He picks them up but always spits them out or we have to pull them out. Yes, the toads are great bug replelants

Cheli is a good hunter. Buster likes to play with, then eat grasshoppers!

Bear ate a snail the other day...I felt bad for it! :(

Bisou thought she was snagging a leaf a couple of weeks ago and was totally stunned when it jumped out of her mouth. Since then she's been on a nightly mission to get herself a toad. The boyfriend wasn't paying close attention the other night and she finally got one. Foam and vomit everywhere for the next 30 minutes. I thought it would deter her, but nope. Every night, still out on the hunt. Practically pulls my arm out of its socket when she thinks she's on the trail.

Oh, good grief..... I had to look at the photo twice! I thought that was a hole in the cement!! LOL

Yes, Leo is OBSESSED with looking for toads/frogs, ever since he saw ONE in our driveway, one night, now it's an every night event, every leaf, rock, piece of dirt that is on the driveway must be investigated! LOL

so, maybe this is where the get the nickname 'frog-dog' :ponder:

Schatzi, our dachshund, introduced Pierce to toads a couple of nights ago. I just knew he was going to has the foaming mouth, but somehow the toad got away. Now that I know he has seen one, I will be watching out for them. It's always an adventure around here.

My seven month old Deuce has discovered frogs. Until this morning he just taunted them. I let him out in the backyard te fix his breakfast. Went outside to get him and he was licking his chops! Uck!!! I think he ate it because he was not interested in his food. Do u think I should call the vet?

:faint: Do you know the type of frog/toad it was or you normally see in the yard? if it was an American toad, he will be fine, but some FROGS (not toads) can be toxic.

Bufa frogs are the ones that are really toxic here in Fl ...causes foaming in mouth and if dog is small enough my moms Yorkie found one and unfortunately she was so little caused seizures took to emergency vet but she didn't make it... So be careful with those Bufa frogs or toads
