Cherry Eye?

So, our 6 month old Finnley woke up from his nap the other day with a red blob on his eye. I instantly knew it was cherry eye. I googled and found a natural cure. A wash cloth and light circular rubbing on the closed eye. The cherry eye disappeared almost immediately. A day later it came back and disappeared just as fast with the rubbing. We took him to the vet the next day just to be safe. She said that the cherry eye was gone but that he had conjunctivitis. We got drops and went home. Now 3 days after the first cherry eye his 3rd eye lid is showing off and on and red. He doesnt bother with it like he did when he had the cherry eye, could it be showing just because its irritated from all the stuff going on? Is this just part of the healing process?

My frenchies eyes go red when they are tired or just woke up

My biggest concern is wondering if it is in fact a cherry eye again or if his eye is just swollen from the cherry eye.

In the pic above, that is not cherry eye, but looks like the third eye lid is just irritated, probably from the conjunctivitis.

This was isabelle with cherry eye.

This was 3 weeks post-op with her 3rd eyelid swollen, but repaired and on the mend.

If you're really concerned it's worth it for. Vet visit to have them check out your little cuties eye.

Thanks everyone i think you guys are right the swelling has gone down. Our vet said he looked great just had a Little conjunctivitis. He's playing and acting like himself again.
