hi,our frenchie is fine but we were looking at adding another frenchie to our family and seen a sad looking wee guy that needs a new loving home but he has cherry eye ? how bad is this and is it a pricey op from your vet ?

Not bad at all, and if you have a good vet who has done several of these and does it right, you usually will never have any problems with it again. If the vet doesn't do it correctly, it will cause dry eye, and you will have to put drops in their eye several times a day. It doesn't cost all that much either, at least around here it doesn't.

I agree with David, I have had a couple of English Bulldogs with cherry eye. It looks much worse than it feels to the dog and sometimes it can be successfully massaged in without surgery. Both mine needed surgery.
