Cherry eye

Levie has a small bulge in the corner of her eye. I have read about people massaging it back in place has anyone tried this and did it help? I will take her the vet if it doesn't respond. Any help appreciated.

My puppy has cherry eye. One was repaired. The other pops out when she plays crazy (like doggie daycare). I massage it back to place and so far so good. I come from below the eye towards the corner and lightly massage the area under the eye up. We had the one repaired because it wouldn't go back and we had to put ointment on it twice a day until it could be repaired. It only turns red once it has been exposed to air too long.

Thank you Kim . I will try again using the technic you described. She was playing really hard with our other dog today and that is when it showed up. I really appreciate your input
