I have done my research on these two sites over and over so I just wanted to reach out and see if anyone has had any positive experiences with either insurance company with Embrace or Healthy Paws, I want to hear the good, bad and ugly.

I had healthy paws on my puppy and it was the worst ever and I hate them with a passion because they screwed me out of $800 in vet bills that they just kept needing more and more and more documentation from the vet for 4 months and then vet finally told me no more

We have healthy paws and haven't had a problem with it.

I have VPI and have never had a problem.

I don't have insurance on my dog, but at the Veterinary hospital where I work we see a lot of people with VPI and everyone I have asked about it likes it.

I have Healthy Paws for my two and so far they have been great!!

I just noticed that USAA offers Embrace Pet Insurance and did a quote through them..... I currently have Healthy Paws and am very happy with them. Has anyone had experience with Embrace?

We don't have insurance, too many horror stories, plus I would pay a fortune insuring all the Frenchies I have. :)

Not sure how good they are but AKC also carries insurance that you can get.

I have had healthy paws for Sharp. When I filed my first claim it took them about a week to get all the paperwork in order, but it was fairly quick. After that, I used my iPhone app to upload his vet invoices and it's been painless.

I really haven't had to use it for anything too extreme, no surgeries or bad illnesses. I think it's the best value for what it's worth: illness, accidents and emergencies.

I struggled trying to find the "best" insurance for him as well.

Let us know what you choose!

Healthy paws is a scam. I paid for it and then they fought me for 8 months when zeta got a. Upper resp infection and I finally gave up and gave in and they didn't pay a dang cent and that's what I paid for so that when she was sick I would have help!!! Avoid them like the plague!!!

I'm really sorry to hear this experience! I have had Healthy Paws for over a year now and they have been a DREAM to work with. Ollie broke his leg at 4 months and they have paid each and every claim we have processed with them. I have it for both my frenchies and we have processed probably 10 claims so far and they pay me within ten days each time with no issues.

I'm really sorry to hear your issues with them. Was this a pre-exhisting condition? I have not had them give me problems with paying a claim ever.....odd....

It was healthy pets. Zeta had a respitory infection and then had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic so in total $800 in vet bills and the insurance denied every cent
