Dental cleaning/maintenance advice?

Our 4 y.o. Frenchie is normally sweet but one of his triggers is teeth cleaning. He turns into Mr. Hyde and it’s impossible to brush his teeth.

We’ve done the oxyfresh water additive but strongly suspect that upsets his tummy (enough to cause occasional vomiting). He tends to woof down the greenies, barely chewing them. We’re scared to do pro vet cleanings due to risks of anesthesia.

Any products, experience or advice to share on this issue?

I’ve never done dental cleaning… I give my pups a raw marrow bone once a week and they gnaw on it for the rest of week. Then I rinse it and stuff with peanut butter for another treat at a later date
