Do Frenchies "talk"?

hello, I am a new French bulldog owner (I have always had Shih tzus) and am curious if they talk. Several times now when I am playing with my puppy she lets out a cry. The first time she did this I thought I had injured her somehow but she has done it several times since. I never rough house with her, just kisses and belly rubs. My Shih tzus have never done this so I am curious if this is a frenchie thing. Many thanks.

My girl talks to us when she is hungry for food. It's adorable. I will get it on video some day and upload it. Our boy is silent though

Our girl also 'talks' whenever she is glad to see us come home. She does some amazing joyfull sounds, it's like nothing i've ever heard. Will also try to get this on video sometime.

The younger pup is silent though.

Here is Q-Roux. She does this EVERY morning when my dad leaves. I'm usually still in bed, so it wakes me up. I was able to get this video when he came home for lunch. She is so sassy!

Pardon the carpet. With two animals in the house, it's hard to keep clean. I did rent a carpet cleaner from Petsmart over the weekend and it worked wonders. The carpet looks brand new after 2 years of Q stomping around.

Cheli totally talks.... mostly when he is over the top excited about something, like going for a walk or sees a toad or bird out the window and he can not get to it....

Wally has several voices. He has his "mean" bark when he sees something he does not like. He has his "whimper like a baby" voice when we are eating & he is in his cage in the other room (he actually sounds like a baby crying). And then there is the voice where he sounds exactly like a goat screeching when he sees something (usually food) he wants, but can`t get to it. My neighbor told me that they thought that I had actually bought a goat when they first heard him.

I know! Especially when I don't have any Frenchies near me and other dogs get pissed at Wally's enthusiasm.

Banksy pisses every other dog off. Even Aiko yells at him. He's so misunderstood

He's just always so stoked about everything

Uma yells at him quite often. That's exactly what we say about Wally! He doesn't mean to be bad, he's just wired that way. Silly pups!
