Just curious to see if your red fawns shed a lot? I have researched the posts and there seems to be some suggestion that the darker colors shed less. I was wondering how this pans out with red fawns.

Hello Stuart,
Great question!!! Thanks for asking that. :)
I don't believe I've seen a red fawn frenchie on this site.
I've seen pics of them, but never one in person. I think they are beautiful.

Currently, we have two frenchies, a brindle and a blue.
They both shed (or go through) their coats once or twice a year, in the spring and fall.
They seem to be always shedding to some degree.
We use a furminator brush on them every so often and that seems to keep the loose hairs level down.
Charlie's coat is thicker than Sofi's so when he sheds it is more noticeable.
They both shed to some degree though, seemingly year round!!
It's just a fact of life with our little smush faced family members, but they are soooooooooooo worth it!!

I can see some truth to it .... Cheli is my brindle baby and he barely sheds, my bulldog is red/white and the white is like a blizzard constantly. Not sure it is the color or but there is definitely something different about it.

Also, sometimes, if a food does not agree with them, they will shed a lot.

Not sure now what a red fawn is. I thought Bambi was a red fawn as she is a darker caramel color. Whatever she is, she doesn't seem to shed that much. There are times, however, when she sheds more. I just take a soft rubber nubby brush to her. Works great.
