Wellllll
the raw food was going so well until a few days ago
Now Banksy is puking every time we feed him. I thought at first it was he was eating too fast. But he still pukes even if I feed him tiny bits slowly.

Could it be that raw isn't sitting well with him?

I would say it isn't setting well with him. Maybe try a different raw with different ingredients. If that doesn't work then you may need to try a kibble. But before that, have a vet check him to make sure there is nothing else going on.

Agreed....

Tried salmon today instead of beef and turkey. Fed him half with his bowl on the ground and he puked it up. Then elevated his bowl and fed him the other half and he kept it down.

Ughhh

It's so weird because it's been over a month now and all of a sudden this is happening now. Do you think that it could be because he gulps in air as he eats? Every time he takes a bite it sounds like he is taking in a lot of air. When I elevated his bowl it seemed to help. I'll try doing the same again with his dinner and see I guess. If not a trip to the pet store to get kibble so he doesn't go hungry and a trip to the vet to make sure nothing is wrong.

Fed him again a bit . Separated from aiko and elevated and it was fine. Maybe he is eating too fast because he thinks aiko will steal it?

Hm that's strange. If it was the food itself, you'd think he would have had this issue right from the beginning.

It is possible he swallowed too much air and it made him bloated.
Was he super hungry? Sometimes when I sleep in on the weekend and dont feed one of my cats in a timely matter, she will throw up bile from an empty stomach and then I have to give her a small treat first and wait 10 mins before giving her her breakfast, otherwise it would come right back up.

We always feed them at the same times. 8am and 6pm. He did well today with his breakfast and puked his dinner up. So I waited and made more which he did okay with. He has been having abnormal poops as well. Ugh I am
Stressed out

He has been fine. We never ended up taking him to the vet.

We bought a food and water container that is raised from the floor just a little bit and fed Aiko separately for a bit and he was fine!

I think he was eating as fast as he could because he didn't want Aiko to steal his food and maybe also he was just so stoked about the food

They both literally are waiting to be fed when its meal time... as apposed to when we fed kibble they didn't care THATTT much about food time, and didn't gobble it down like It was the best ever

Anyway no more puking for Mr Banksy boy :)

Thanks!!! It's heart breaking when our fur babies are sick. The look on his face after he would puke made me so sad. Glad he's better now and glad we don't have to switch back to kibble!

Glad he's doing ok now - so worrying when they start being sick and there is nothing obviously wrong....

The Willowstep has made so much difference when feeding Dexter, but I did notice when he's with my parents Bichon he will eat twice as fast and isn't really paying attention to eating as he's worried that Gus is going to come and steal it. So they get fed alone now to stop that.

Raised feeders are really great though - I'd highly recommend one if anyone is thinking about trying it :)

Great news he is doing better. We use raised feeders too.
Stella is always on guard that Jake is going to steal her food. They are fed quite far apart and when Jake finishes first we keep him away from her.
