"Down"

Such a smart boy, and a total cutie pie.

And that's how it's done little man! Nice work! :boogie:

:bravo: Nice work! he is too darn adorable too

Yay! Unfortunately "down" is one command (of many) that Jax just won't do.

Try mini marshmallows :) LOL

My SIL's chihuahua refuses to "lay down" too. But she didn't try very hard to teach her. She plays fetch much easier than my Frenchies who go and get the toy and then hog it forever and never bring it back. ;)

I started working with Isabelle on her tricks at 8 weeks old. She knows give paw, other paw, spin, up and spin, up, down, sit, speak (which she usually just makes a strange noise but I let her cause she always seems like she's choking LOL probably just being a brat), and a few more.

Titan just knows, come here, sit, up, and now down. I started working on spin every once in a while but I needed to get "down" first :) it's honestly one of the toughest!!

He will somewhat lay down if I have a treat and you guide him down but other than that no way. He will sit when there is a treat or food involved. And you can forget about "stay." The other day he was on the couch and I got up, looked at him, told him to stay and what did he do? Jumped off the couch.

He will chase after his toys and bring them back but he doesn't always drop them.

I do need to start working with him again but Jax is the definition of a stubborn French Bulldog. I had a personal trainer come to the house a couple of times and she basically said good luck with him. He is lucky he is so cute.

Good job Titan. Buster only does down when he wants to stay right where he is and I want him to move!

Same with Isabelle... She's never gotten the dreaded "stay" command down.

Usually "move!" means "stay" ;)

Good job Titan! Perhaps Bisou needs to learn sign language since she's conveniently 'deaf' when mama asks her to do something... ;)

Isabelle also has this "condition" that you speak of ;)

Brats LOL

We were having the same problem until we realized they didn't want to lay on the cold tile floor. So performance of DOWN will only occur on the nice warm carpet!
