📰 What's new

due to have nares and soft pallet surgey

Unfortunately no, we don't have a crate anymore. He had good calm night, so attempting to keep him indoors in the quiet for the next couple of days. So weird not to be able to hear him snoring.

After surgery for whatever reason they don't snore, BUT it might/could return. Cheli snored again after each of his

Ron has started to eat his poo. He did this when he was a pup and today he has managed it twice. I'm watching him like a hawk and scooping as soon as he is pooping, but he's a sneaky bugger!!! I'm going to start adding seaweed to his food, this helped to break the habit when he was a pup so fingers crossed. My main concern is the infection risk.

So Ron has the all clear from the vets. His snoring is back with a vengeance! But I did miss it so it's ok. He seems to be doing well I've noticed however he is a little snuffly from time to time which is new for him. Any one else experienced the same? I know it's still early days and due to the hot weather, we've yet to test him on a proper walk.

After each of Cheli's surgeries his snoring returned, i think it is quite normal

Hi everyone. So I’ve been taking an avid interest in this amazing site but not replying very often (I know i’m rubbish) wanted to give you an update on Ron. So we’ve had a good year/18 months but his tolerance of exercise has been deteriorating again. Breathing issues, vomiting and unable regulate so I’m hoping to grab some advice as to wether I put him through surgery again or as he’s nearly four should I just except that long walks are not for us?

Four is not old at all. How old was he when he had the first surgery? Sometimes they need it twice.

He first had surgery around 2 1/2 and I’m just unsure wether to put him through the surgery again as when he’s at home, playing and zooming around the garden he has absolutely no issues at all, it’s only when we go out for a walk. He gets massively overwhelmed and winds himself up regards of how calm I stay or what we try and then before we know it he is struggling with his airway etc.
He did incredibly well post surgery and the improvement was and still is worth it but, and it’s a wiggly tail wiggly butt, should I really put him through it again?

My boy needed it twice... I forget time frames but I think it was 1-2 and again around 4.
