Hey everyone, it really seems like I'm full of a lot of questions hahah. Anyways Fish's ears are really big for him and they aren't being supported very well I guess so they have started flipping backwards.. I've read that during the teething stage there may not be enough calcium or cartridge development. But that they should come up fully by 6 months. He is currently 4 months. This has probably been on going forimage.webp

Should I just leave them be, open to any suggestions.

I vote to leave them be. When we had bull terrier pups the ears would sometimes get floppy and fall forward when they were teething. Even though his ears are not straight up, I think they are adorable! So big and cute. Adds character! I think it would drive him crazy if you tried to tape them like some people do.

I'm with you! I think it would be a kinda funny quirk. Jakeyjake

I am no help with the ear issue but just wanted to say that he is so cute!

I know some people recommend giving some yogurt to combat the calcium issues. I would try that. He sure is cute!

Thank for all the love everybody, eeturk I will try giving him some yogurt. Hopefully it doesn't upset his stomach too much.

OMG! So freaking cute! I would leave them and to be honest I would wish they would stay like that. Very unique and adorable!

While looking for FRENCHIE pups for sale I stumbled upon a frenchie who was stolen from his family, but his ears flopped back as well. It is the most hilarious thing!

Id try to yogurt, and other than that leave him. It happens and makes them that much more personable!

jacobliebs I would leave them alone. Some people say to give them cottage cheese and/or yogurt to help. I have never tried to though. If you are worried about upsetting his tummy, then get goats milk yogurt and cottage cheese. Goats milk is the only milk that is easily digested by dogs. If we have to supplement newborn pups with bottle feeding, we will give them goats milk.

davidh I actually brought the whole adding yogurt or dairy to his diet to help with his ears up to my vet and she said it was just a myth and wouldn't do anything. Meh it's starting to grow on me anyways. :)

Well like I said I just heard it from other people, but I have never tried it. All my pups ears stand up, so never had that problem.
