Ectopic ureter

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum. I have a 8 month old female frenchie. She has had a dribbling problem since we got her. Turns out she has 2 ectopic ureters. My reason for posting as to see if anyone knows anything about this. Is this hereditary? I know UTI are common problems associated with them are there any other problems that can arise due to them? Really just any information from anyone that has dealt with this is appreciated.

Yes, it is hereditary, and as you know she will be prone to UTI's. There is a surgical procedure that can be done, but I have no experience with that. I would consult a good Frenchie vet or contact a vet university to help with that.
