Yes! Everything seems to be under control but Jax still needs to take his Apoquel which I found out by mistake. He apparently spit out his pill last night and was licking and chewing his paws like crazy this morning. I found the pill in the kitchen this morning which explains why he was going crazy...ugh. With that being said, however, he has still been licking and scratching significantly less with being on the raw.

Glad to hear that Jake is improving with the homecooking! Have you tried eliminating fruits and veggies with Stella? Those might be causing an issue.

Yes perhaps I should look into that. Her food has sweet potatos, carrots, broccoli, celery, apples, and cranberries. I thought perhaps it was peas because her last food had a lot of peas, but no go. Never ends.

Might be the sweet potatoes or possibly even one of the other veggies/fruits listed. Before I switched to raw I went with a kibble that had no potato of any kind because of the starch. I found a kibble that used peas but still had issues so I switched to a potato and pea free kibble. Still had issues with that so that is when I switched to raw, took out veggies and fruits all together and wa-la. So I have no idea which ingredient(s) exactly were causing the problems. It's all been trial and error for Jax but it is absolutely awesome when you find a food that works!

We feed Taste of the Wild puppy, Bison and venison and our puppy is doing amazing on it.

We just switched to Fromm puppy red meat blend.... from Acana puppy which was mainly chicken and our pups are doing a lot better on it! First of all they love it and secondly they don't smell anymore!!! And good poops. Halelujah!
