Lets share our dog's first outdoor / walk experience.

we took chowder to some clean (mostly wealthy) part of Los angeles, and walked him and made sure, he was avoiding piles of poop and dirty stuff. Of course we cant control everything in this world, so chowder picked up alot of berries and other small stuff along the way. Overall he did well, he stayed next to us, and sometimes he was trying to get his own way.

Overall i think chowder did well! how was your dogs first walks?

also quick question :: chowder just started having some loose stool, im guessing that its from all the small stuff he picked up and ate on his walk, has this happened to anyone?

Thanks guys. SAD to see chowder grow, but feels good knowing we can take him out :)

Excellent! Great job Chowder!

On our first walk, Bear ate everything on the ground from here to the end of the complex. It was more of a foraging session. Lol.

Good to see Chowder out and about! Buster doesn't eat his sidewalk finds too much, he just smashes his nose in them to get a good whiff!

Awww I bet he had a blast. I'm glad you got him out and about. :)

Bitter sweet when they start to become so grown-up.... happy the walk was a success.

I would be very careful with the things he picks up, as some wild berries and seeds can be toxic to dogs. Glad he did well on his walk.

I def. have to keep more of an eye and take things out of his mouth as soon as grabs it. Ahh ive been having such a hard time to get his poop to firm up. :( I've had chowder de-wormed with his vaccines last thursday so im thinking that could be why his poop is a bit grainy as well right now. His bowel movement is about the same 3-4 times a day, but its tough to firm :( im drawing blanks here.

tonytones I don't know how much you are feeding him, but try to cut back just a little and see if that helps firm up his poop. Too much food will make loose poop.
