Hi everyone. My 3 year old frenchie is turning his nose up on his food lately. This is the first time for the past 3 days. Is it because he's getting bored with what I am feeding him? (4Health kibble mixed with Merrick wet food).

If you don't want to switch food you could try adding a topper. The Honest Kitchen makes Proper Toppers or you could just break up some freeze dried single ingredient meat or sweet potato.

they are picky little buggers, at times. I also do toppers... Sella and Chewy's meal toppers. Sometimes, I add a little frozen raw goat milk (Primal brand... Pet Value carries it) to the food, they get it anyway, but I'll add to food to change it up.

Buster gets a small amt. of topper on his food, also. Our English Bulldog doesn't need a topper--he inhales his food and wouldn't taste it anyway!

I wouldn't recommend toppers if you don't have to. Dog will keep getting pickier and pickier about his food. Try switching to a better tasting dog food- you should be able to get samples to try out. Try to stick with grain free- this forum likes Fromm Four Star, Acana Regionals, Orijen for dry dog foods, and Honest Kitchen for dehydrated raw. Or you can get frozen raw patties from a local supplier.

A lot of people add toppers without issues. But you can definitely try a good switch or just a different protein. Some brands are rotational which means you can give different flavors without having to do a slow transition each time.
