So, I recently found the love of my life, Loki. My fiancee and I found him online from a breeder. When we got him she was selling a bunch of Boston pups. She had then said she had only one Frenchie. My concern is that he is a Boston because all the other pups were the same exact size. Of course he had a couple different features but overall it was difficult to tell. I just hope we didn't get taken for. Anyone that can lend their opinion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! (Oh and we are receiving papers but not for about another month. And that is after she cashes the check for the remainder of the payment on the first.)

A good pic would help. The avatar pic i pretty small, but looks like a Frenchie.

Loki looks like a Frenchie to me. I have had both types of dogs. I always say the Frenchie has a bigger and more tulip shaped ear. Loki looks handsome and if he's the love of your life...well that is what is most important. I totally get that you don't want to be deceived. Post an update please when you receive his papers. Much love to your new pup which I believe is a French Bulldog.

I posted more pictures if that helps. I honestly will adore him no matter what he is.... Just curious. :)

I couldn't find the pictures, but he sure is a cutie in your avatar!

Ah ha! I figured it out. That took me a good minute. Lol

Thank you! I had a good feeling he was. That makes me feel better. I'll go break him the good news ;) he's cuddling with daddy.

I too would say definitely a Frenchie. He looks a lot like my guy does.

I would say Frenchie as well. Our Wilson looks even more 'Bostonish' with his white. I think he is going to be mistaken all of his life. But he does have the brindle in the black. And 1 in a litter isn't that unusual.

Looks like a Frenchie. Did she let you see the parents?

Oh yes, that baby is all frenchie! It's all in the ears. Welcome to FBN by the way :)

Haha.. Thanks! I only got to see the mama of my pup. The father is a friend of hers. I could always do one of those genetic tests at the vet to be positive.

Correction! I just realized I put Boston pup... Her litter was all frenchton (and apparently one Frenchie) ...frenchton being 50% Boston & 50% French bulldog. So with that... Is there any way he is a frenchton pup?

Correct me if I'm wrong...but isn't it impossible for 1 random French Bulldog to come out of a mixed breeding? They'd all have to be these "Frenchtons", right? But perhaps some look more Frenchie than others.

This is the first time I've heard of a "Frenchton"...

That's what I'm saying too... Because he was the same size as all the other pups. But she said she got him from a friend who breeds and got to pick one (pick of the litter) for stud service.

Did you get to see the other puppies? Did he look like them or was it just the size? Around here frenchtons are sold for much cheaper, hopefully you didn't get ripped off. You can always do a DNA test at home that'll tell you exactly what they are
